Tight. Still too tight. Finally, after hours of practice laps, the Number 21 Pull-A-Part Chevy loosened up enough to suit rising star Emilee Riley’s driving style. She gave the final thumbs-up of approval mere laps before qualifying began for the night’s three-race set: two 75-lap races followed by an epic 100-lap battle on one of NASCAR’s most historic tracks. As it turned out, Emilee used the Late Model Stock races to get used to the fresh tires and learn the nuances of the track surface. The result? Emilee qualified third for the Limited Late Model banner event, led 30 laps in first place, and finished a strong second overall.
