How to Remove a Starter from a Toyota Camry

Instructions

  • Print
  • 1

    Disconnect battery cables and place to the side

  • 2

    Disconnect the starter connector by pressing in on the side

  • 3

    Remove the 14mm bolt from each side of the starter

  • 4

    Pull the starter out of its housing and rotate it to expose the bottom

  • 5

    Remove rubber boot over 12mm bolt and loosen using ratchet

  • 6

    Slide cable off, grab starter and work it out of the engine compartment
