How to Remove a Brake Hose from a Toyota Camry

Applies to: TOYOTA CAMRY (2000)

Pull Tip: Do a visual inspection to make sure you don't have any wear on the brake line at all - either on your vehicle or the used part you are removing.

Recommended Tools

  • 10mm Wrench
  • Ratchet
  • 14mm Socket

Instructions

  • Print

    Remove the hubcap and tire using 21mm socket

  • 2

    Backoff 10mm fastener

  • 3

    Pry connector off of the brake hose clip

  • 4

    Grab flexible line from connector and pull it out of its mount

  • 5

    Remove 12mm bolt that attaches flexible line to the strut assembly

  • 6

    Remove 14mm bolt connecting the flexible line to the brake caliper

  • 7

    Lift it off and take it away from the vehicle
