How to Remove an Instrument Cluster from a Ford Mustang

Pull Tip: There may be some variances between years or modifications by previous owners - so we recommend removing the part at home before coming to the yard. This way you'll know what tools you need for a successful pull!

Recommended Tools

  • Phillips Head Screwdriver
  • Flathead Screwdriver
  • T-15 Torx Bit

    The first thing we need to do is find the two Phillips screws at the top underneath the bezel.

    Once those are out, remove the headlight switch… by giving it a swift tug.

    Once that’s out there are just four T-15 Torx bit at the corners of the cluster. Take them out, then gently pull the cluster towards you.

    Once that’s out there are just 4 T-15 Torx bit at the corners of the cluster. Take them out, then gently pull the cluster towards you.

    There are two electrical connectors on the back, find the tabs at the top and they should slide right out.
