VIDEO TRANSCRIPT

Greetings, viewers. Eric the Car Guy here. Today, we're going to be removing the left front fender on this Honda Accord.

In order to remove the fender, you're going to need to remove the front bumper and the headlight which are featured in other videos. Now that you've got the bumper and the headlight removed, it's time to remove the inner fender liner. There's three screws here that may be holding a mudflap on in place, with another screw up here. There's also these plastic clips that go along the inside of the fender itself. I'm going to use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws. Normally you have to remove the fourth one, but in this case, we don't. Now you're going to need to remove the plastic clips that hold the fender liner to the fender. Now, you could just remove these four here around the outside. You can also remove these other clips on the inner fender liner, that's purely your choice. But in order to get the fender, off all you need to remove is these outer ones. This one and the front has already been removed. I take a screwdriver, twist it slightly, you may have to work at them a little bit. On this vehicle, we're presented with something of a dilemma. This rocker cover here needs to be removed to access the lower fasteners to the fender. Unfortunately, the vehicle is being held up right now and supported right underneath this plastic piece so we're not going to be able to remove it the way you normally would. In order to remove that piece, you would need to remove the plastic clips going all the way down.

Once you've done that, you could take the entire piece and push it back or forwards, and it should unclip from the body. What we're going to do is pull this piece down. And I'm going to cut some access with side cutters. Unfortunately, we destroyed the rocker cover, but in this case, we didn't have a choice. But wait, there's a better way. Instead of destroying the rocker like I just did, you can contact a pull part employee who will then come over and lift the vehicle for you so you can get access to the fasteners. This way, you don't have to destroy the rocker. Yes, it's a better way. Now that we have access to this lower 10 millimeter fastener here, we can remove it. There's one more faster up at the top on the inside that you need to access after you open the door, right in here. This one is also a 10 millimeter. Remove the two additional fasteners at the front. We have three fasteners left up here on the top, also 10 millimeter. Now we can remove the fender from the vehicle.

And that's how you remove this driver's side fender on this Honda Accord. I'm Eric the Car Guy. Be safe, have fun, stay dirty. Thank you so much for watching.
