Greetings viewers. Eric The Car Guy here. Today, we're going to remove the inner door panel on the driver's door of this Honda Accord.
I'm going to start by removing this interior piece behind the driver's side mirror. You may need a screwdriver. It's just clipped in. It should pop off. These are the two clips it's held in by. Next, there's a screw here behind the door handle. It's underneath this cover, which you can pry out with a screwdriver or pick out with a screwdriver. Phillips head screw behind that. You can now remove the door handle assembly, pull it forward, and it will come right out. It will also be hooked in the back by a little piece of metal here. You can just move the plastic off of the back of it by unclipping it. Once it's unclipped, the metal will lift right out of the latch assembly. Don't forget the electrical connection here. Now remove the plastic cover over the Phillips head screw inside the door handle assembly. You can now remove the screw. Check for any additional screws around the outside of the door card. Here's a plastic rivet at the top here, which you can just pull back and it will come loose.
And the rest of the interior panel is only held in by plastic clips. Now that that's loose, push up on the whole thing, off the door lock and get ready to disconnect some electrical connectors. You can now disconnect the electrical connectors on the window motor switch and the driver's master switch. Sometimes it's easier to get to the last connector by removing the whole switch assembly. For the last one, you can remove the courtesy light. I just take it out bulb and all.
And that's how you remove an inner door panel on a Honda Accord. I'm Eric The Car Guy. Thank you so much for watching. Be safe, have fun, stay dirty.
