INDIANAPOLIS-BASED PULL-A-PART HONORED FOR ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP

In August, the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) awarded Indianapolis-based Pull-A-Part with its sixth Indiana Clean Yard-Gold Level certification in recognition of the company’s continued efforts to protect the environment. Pull-A-Part is located at 2505 Producers Lane in Indianapolis.

“I am pleased to see companies like Pull-A-Part help lead the industry,” says IDEM Commissioner Bruno Pigott. “This is a great example of how we can work with businesses and help them find ways to improve their processes while protecting Hoosiers and our environment.”

The Indiana Clean Yard program started in 2009 as a collaborative effort by IDEM and the Automotive Recyclers of Indiana to decrease environmental threats posed by vehicles stockpiled in salvage yards, IDEM states.
